Researchers from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at our university have joined an international ERASMUS+ project, and by the decision of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the three-year project has been approved for funding. A total of 800,000 euros has been allocated for the implementation of the "GreenCA" project.
"This is not just the project of a single university, but a collaborative effort by scientists from 10 leading higher education institutions around the world. From our country, this includes our own Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. The main goal of the project is to integrate effective water management issues into the educational process and expand areas of scientific research," said Gani Issayev, the project coordinator at our university.
The intra-university coordinators of the project are Gani Issayev, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Acting Professor, and Indira Aimbetova, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Acting Professor. According to them, within the framework of this scientific initiative, two new courses dedicated to the biological treatment of wastewater have been introduced into the "Biological and Related Sciences" educational program. The primary objective of the project is the efficient use of water resources through biological methods, developing wastewater treatment technologies, integrating them into academic curricula, and advancing research activities.
The project provides a great opportunity to develop scientific and innovative cooperation among higher education institutions, improve the quality of education in the field of environmental protection, and exchange experience at the international level.
