THE UNIVERSITY HAS WON A WHO GRANT FOR THE FIRST TIME!

For the first time, our institution has achieved a historic milestone by winning a grant from the World Health Organization (WHO). This significant event highlights the high level of the university's scientific potential and the importance of its research in the field of public health.
A research project led by Fakhriddin Sarzhanov, PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, was funded under the WHO’s TDR Impact Grants Scheme. Titled "Assessment of the Prevalence and Risk Factors of Intestinal Parasitic Infections Among Young Children in the Turkistan Region," this study aims to investigate the spread of infectious diseases in the region and establish a vital scientific foundation for the healthcare system.
Notably, the TDR Impact Grants Scheme is implemented within the framework of the WHO’s program supporting operational and implementation research in the European Region.
The trust shown by the WHO paves the way for strengthening the university's international scientific partnerships. This is a crucial step that enables Yasawi University to participate in world-class research and contribute to the global healthcare system.
The university staff expresses its gratitude to the WHO and TDR for their support! Congratulations to our scientists on this remarkable achievement!
