The Department of Physical Education and Initial Military Training of the Faculty of Sports, located in Academic Building No. 3 of our university, is preparing to begin the new academic year with a modernized learning environment.

Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, Vice-Rector for Academic Development Elmira Idrissova, and Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov visited the department and toured the renovated classrooms and learning spaces.

The university administration was welcomed by the department’s academic staff, led by Baglan Yermakhanov, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Initial Military Training, who briefed them on the progress of the ongoing renovation work.

One of the department’s major developments is the establishment of specialized classrooms for VR-based and general tactical training, as well as facilities for a shooting range and weapons storage. These learning spaces are currently being equipped in accordance with modern standards. Plans also include the installation of a video surveillance system, equipment for regulating air circulation parameters, alarm systems, and a heating system.

The renovated facilities are designed to provide students with an environment where they can combine theoretical knowledge with practical training in physical education, sports, and military training.

In addition, a number of the department’s lecture and seminar rooms have been upgraded with new equipment. LED panels have been installed in the classrooms, while computers, desks, and chairs have been replaced with new ones.

Classrooms used for the theory and methodology of physical education, traditional games and sports, and gymnastics teaching methodology have also been renovated and equipped with visual aids and information displays. QR codes have been added to the displays to provide students with additional access to educational materials.

Creative information areas have also been established throughout the department to enrich the learning environment. The walls feature sports-themed artwork, as well as motivational slogans related to sports and military training.

Through these improvements, the teaching staff aim to create a modern image for the department and provide students with education in a comfortable and engaging learning environment.

At the conclusion of the visit, the university administration reviewed the modernization work carried out at the department and expressed its positive assessment of the initiatives aimed at strengthening the educational and material resources and creating a modern learning environment for students.
