Today, our university hosted a scientific seminar entitled “The Application of Statistical and Mathematical Methods in Scientific Research.”

The event was organized within the framework of the research project GF AP23488200 – “Scientific and Methodological Foundations of Interdisciplinary Research into the Socio-Economic Processes of Modern Kazakhstan: Statistical and Mathematical Methods and Computer Technologies,” implemented with the financial support of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main objective of the seminar was to introduce participants to modern research methodologies in economic and mathematical modeling, forecasting socio-economic processes, demography, and agribusiness. The seminar also aimed to expand participants’ knowledge of constructing correlation tables, applying correlation and regression analysis algorithms, and utilizing mathematical methods in economic research.

The seminar was attended by faculty deans, members of the academic staff, master’s students, and doctoral candidates.

The event was opened by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Idrissova, who introduced Professor Rakhila Rakhmetova, Doctor of Economic Sciences. She expressed her gratitude to the distinguished guest for taking the time to participate and emphasized the importance of such scientific meetings for the professional development of young researchers.

During the seminar, participants discussed current issues related to the application of statistical and mathematical methods in scientific research in Kazakhstan.

The speaker highlighted modern scientific methodologies and provided a comprehensive overview of the academic significance of educational publications such as “Methodology for the Application of Multidimensional Statistical Analysis in Socio-Economic Research: Cluster Analysis and Diagnostics,” “Methodology of Economic and Mathematical Modeling of Business Processes in the Agro-Industrial Complex,” “Methodology of Econometric Research of Socio-Economic Processes,” and other scholarly works.

As part of the event, Professor Rakhila Rakhmetova donated 23 books authored by her and published in Kazakh, Russian, and English to the university library collection.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants and young researchers had the opportunity to ask questions and receive valuable recommendations from the speaker aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of their research activities.
